LONDON (Alliance News) - Film and television studio company Pinewood Shepperton PLC Thursday said its has signed a consultancy services agreement with the Dalian Wanda Group to advise on the design and construction of a new film and television studio complex in China.
The film studio, which is expected to open in 2016, will form part of the 'Qingdao Oriental Movie Metropolis', in Shandong in China. It will cover a 200 hectare area comprising of sound stages, workshops, a post-production area and themed backlots.
Once completed, Pinewood Shepperton claims it will be one of China's largest film and TV studio facilities.
Shares in Pinewood Shepperton were trading at 418.00 pence per share Thursday afternoon, up 2.8%.
