LONDON (Alliance News) - Physiomics PLC Tuesday said it has been provisionally awarded a grant for its proposed project for a support system to improve cancer care.
The company was notified by the UK government's Innovate UK agency that it intends to award Physiomics with a grant for its proposed project 'Decision Support Systems For Stratified Cancer Treatment'.
The objective of the proposed project is to create a prototype decision support system to improve cancer care by helping medical professionals make treatment decisions based on patient specific data.
The grant covers 70% of the costs of projects up to GBP200,000 in value, and the award of this grant, as well as the precise level of funding, remains subject to the submission of detailed project plans, and a financial review by Innovate UK.
Physiomics said whilst it is confident the grant will be issued there can be no guarantee it will be. If granted, the definitive award is likely to be made in the first quarter of 2017.
Shares in Physiomics were down 2.2% at 0.0220 pence Tuesday morning.
