LONDON (Alliance News) - Pet products group Pets at Home PLC said on Thursday it has made two separate appointments, with David Robinson as chief operation officer of Retail and Jane Balmain as interim chief executive officer of the First Opinion business within the Vet Group subsidiary.
Robinson will be joining with effect in 2019 from Bestway Retail, where he was managing director for two years from 2016, and prior to that was chief operating officer at catalogue retailer and J Sainsbury's PLC subsidiary Argos from 2014 to 2016.
Balmain's previous role was as part of Pets at Home, as managing director of the Companion Care joint venture for 13 years from 2001 to 2014. Balmain has been appointed with immediate effect.
"David has proven strength in running operations across a diverse group of retailers and his experience leading the digital transformation at Argos will be hugely valuable in our pursuit to make Pets at Home an increasingly digitally-led business," said Chief Executive Officer Peter Pritchard.
"Jane is well known by many of our Joint Venture Partners and Vet Group colleagues, and we look forward to benefiting from her expertise and support over the coming months," Pritchard added.
