Petropavlovsk Hires Cameron And Hackett As Non-Executive Directors

LONDON (Alliance News) - Petropavlovsk PLC on Monday said it has appointed James Cameron and Damien Hackett as independent non-executive directors with immediate effect.

The miner said Cameron is a lawyer, who has previously served as chief executive & chairman of Occupational Urgent Care Systems Inc. Meanwhile, Hackett is a chairman of uranium exploration company UrAmerica Ltd.

"I am delighted that James Cameron and Damien Hackett are joining the board of Petropavlovsk," said Non-Executive Chairman Roderic Lyne.

"These new appointments, mean that Petropavlovsk now has three independent directors with a diverse range of skills and experience of great benefit to the company," added Lyne.

At the end of June after Petropavlovsk shareholders voted in favour of resolutions to oust the entire board of directors, comprising of Chief Executive Officer Roman Deniskin, Chairman Ian Ashby, Non-Executive Directors Bruce Buck, Adrian Coates and Garrett Soden.

For the replacement, former Chief Executive & Co-Founder Pavel Maslovskiy, Non-Executive Chairman Roderic Lyne and Non-Executive Director Robert Jenkins were reappointed.

Petropavlovsk shares were trading 2.8% lower on Monday at 5.90 pence each.
