LONDON (Alliance News) - Petrofac Ltd Thursday said it has won a deal to provide KPLE LLP with services for its petrochemicals complex and infrastructure project in Kazakhstan as part of a consortium with Germany's Linde AG and GS Engineering and Construction Corp of South Korea.
The first phase of the contract involves the consortium undertaking engineering work for approximately USD77 million. Petrofac's share is about USD21 million.
The second phase will involve the production of a polyethylene plant for an excess of USD3.5 billion.
Shares in the oil and gas services company were trading up 4.8% at 1,414.00 pence Thursday afternoon.
