Petro Matad Appoints New Chairman And Chief Executive

17th Jul 2015 07:25

LONDON (Alliance News) - Petro Matad Ltd on Friday said it has hired a new chairman and chief executive, with the pair to start their roles in August and by mid-September.

The company said Enkhmaa Davaanyam has been appointed non-executive chairman, having previously been a non-executive director. Petro Matad said she is currently the chief executive of Mongolian fuel supplier Petrovis Group, which owns a 32% stake in Petro Matad. Prior to this, she worked in a number of roles at Australian bank Macquarie Group.

She replaces Oyungerel Janchiv, who reverts to her role as a non-executive, having been the interim chair of the company. Davaanyam will start on August 1.

The company has also appointed Ridvan Karpuz as its chief executive, with plans for him to take up the role in mid-September. He is also a non-executive on Petro Matad's board and was formerly the executive director of its exploration business.

Petro Matad shares were untraded Friday morning, having last traded at 4.08 pence.
