LONDON (Alliance News) - Petra Diamonds Ltd on Tuesday said Finance Director David Abery is stepping down from his role to "pursue other opportunities".
Abery will continue to work for Petra on an advisory basis for at least six months as part of the succession process.
In addition, Finance Manager - Operations Jacques Breytenbach has been promoted to chief financial officer, while Operations Manager Koos Visser has been promoted to chief operating officer.
"Their extensive knowledge of the company, our operations and management of our capital investment programmes, as well as of the diamond mining industry and our local operating environments in South Africa and Tanzania, will continue to serve the company well," Chairman Adonis Pouroulis said of Breyenbach and Visser.
Shares in Petra Diamonds were up 1.1% at 117.06 pence early Tuesday morning in London.
