Personal Assets Trust Reports Increase In Net Assets In First Half

(Alliance News) - Personal Assets Trust PLC on Friday said its performance improved in the first half of its current financial year.

The Edinburgh, Scotland-based investment company said, over the six months to the end of October, its net asset value per share rose by 2.9% to GBP438.67. The company's share price rose by GBP7.00 to GBP440.00 over the same period, being a premium of 0.3% to the company's NAV at that date.

The trust, which is run for private investors, said dividends are paid in July, October, January and April of each year. The first interim dividend of GBP1.40 per share was paid to shareholders on July 17 and the second interim dividend of GBP1.40 on October 9.

The company declared the third interim dividend of GBP1.40 per share to be paid to shareholders on January 8 and a fourth interim dividend of GBP1.40 per share, which is expected to be paid in April 2021, making a total for the year of GBP5.60 per share.

The trust noted, however, that its investment income declined year-on-year in the first half to GBP8.3 million from GBP12.1 million.

Personal Assets Trust shares were trading 0.2% higher in London on Friday at 45,490.00 pence each.
