(Alliance News) - Persimmon PLC said Monday that Non-Executive Director Marion Sears will retire from the housebuilder in April after over seven years in the role.
Sears - who also served as chair of the remuneration and corporate responsibility committees - will leave the FTSE 100-listed firm from April 29.
Sears was in the hot seat as former Persimmon chief executive officer Jeff Fairburn stepped down at the end of last year amid "distraction" over his incentive plan, widely criticised as being excessive.
She will be replaced as chair of the remuneration committee by Non-Executive Director Claire Thomas, with the chair of the corporate responsibility committee to be announced in due course.
"Marion has made a significant contribution to Persimmon's board over many years and the on behalf of the company I would like to wish her every success in her future endeavours", Persimmon Chair Roger Devlin said.
Shares in Persimmon were 0.1% lower at 2,397.00 pence in London on Monday.
