(Alliance News) - Irish financial services firm Permanent TSB Group Holdings PLC on Monday said it has made current Chief Financial Officer Eamonn Crowley its new chief executive.
Crowley joined Permanent TSB in 2017, where he is currently both CFO and a board executive director. His roles before that include CFO at Bank Santander Poland and chief operating officer at the Central & Eastern Europe division of AIB PLC.
Crowley's appointment as CEO is effective immediately while Jeremy Masding, the previous CEO, will stay on as a board member until July 1. While a new CFO is sought, Crowley will also perform CFO duties.
Chair Robert Elliott said: "Following an extensive selection process, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Eamonn Crowley to the role of CEO. Over the last three years, Eamonn has made an enormous contribution to the bank in his role as CFO, and as a member of the executive committee and board. Given his breadth of experience and in-depth knowledge of the bank, I have no doubt that he will successfully lead Permanent TSB through the current Covid-19 crisis and beyond."
