LONDON (Alliance News) - Pennon Group PLC on Thursday said the UK's Competition and Markets Authority has unconditionally cleared its acquisition of Bournemouth Water.
The FTSE 250-listed utility infrastructure company, which runs waste management firm Viridor and utility South West Water, said the UK's antitrust regulator has approved its acquisition of Bournemouth Water and its merger with South West Water.
South West Water is aiming to complete the merger by the end of the 2015-16 financial year in March and the operational integration of the business is set to be complete a year later.
Pennon shares were down 0.1% to 816.50 pence on Thursday morning.
