LONDON (Alliance News) - Automotive retailer Pendragon PLC said on Monday it has appointed Mark Herbert as chief executive officer designate, with effect on March 4.

Prior to that, he was part of motor retailer Jardine Motors Group UK Ltd for eight years from 2007 to 2015, leaving as chief executive officer.

"Mark is a proven, successful leader, and I'm pleased to welcome him to the company. He is the ideal person to lead Pendragon through the next phase of its development, and we all look

forward to working with him as we continue to implement our established strategy," said Chair Chris Chambers.

Shares in Pendragon were trading flat at 27.00 pence on Monday.
