LONDON (Alliance News) - PeerTV PLC Wednesday said it is partnering with a "major streaming media platform service provider".
In a statement, PeerTV said the service provider has more than 500,000 customers. Peer TV did not name the partner.
PeerTV said the partner tested its quad core 4.4 Android based Set Top Box for more than three months before deciding to offer it as its preferred set top box choice to its customers.
"This new strategic distribution channel provides a great new opportunity for PeerTV STB technology and will mark it as one of the global leaders of Android STB technology," Chief Executive Avi Vermus said in a statement.
PeerTV shares were up 18.4% at 0.444 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.
