Pathfinder Minerals Co-Chair Simon Farrell Resigns From Board

23rd Jul 2019 12:20

(Alliance News) - Pathfinder Minerals PLC on Tuesday said Non-Executive co-Chair Simon Farrell has stepped down with immediate effect.

Pathfinder, as announced previously, is now in "advanced" talks over the appointment of a new non-executive director.

The firm hired a new chief executive in June, John Taylor, who replaced outgoing CEO Scott Brown, who wanted to focus on other business activities.

Pathfinder has, over the past two years, been trying to get mining concessions 760C and 4623C in Mozambique, now consolidated as licence number 4623C, reinstated but has not yet succeeded.

In 2019, the company has made more progress, having agreed in principle a proposed deal with Jacinto Veloso, a 50% shareholder in current licence owner Pathfinder Mocambique SA.

Shares were down 11% on Tuesday shortly after midday in London at 1.63 pence each.
