LONDON (Alliance News) - Parallel Media Group PLC Friday said it has negotiated exclusive rights to promote and help produce the Electric Run event in South Korea from 2014 to 2016.
The Electric Run is a night time five kilometre run/walk where participants are part of a show which features light and sound during their exercise.
The event has been popular on social networks since its launch in 2012, according to the company, with 5.8 million Facebook users reached weekly as well as 976,000 "likes" with a further 4,000 "likes" added daily.
The AIM-quoted sports, entertainment and media agency said the Electric Run's success, particularly in Australia, points to equal success in South Korea, where there will be races in both Seoul and Busan in the first half of 2014.
Parallel Media Group shares were up 5.4% to 5.4 pence Friday.
