LONDON (Alliance News) - Paragon Diamonds Limited Monday said it has been awarded a new precious stones prospecting licence in the Tsabong Kimberlite Field in Botswana
The Lesotho-focused diamond development and production company said the new 442 kilometre licence is valid up until September 30 2016 and can be renewed twice provided 50% of the area is relinquished each time.
The Tsabong Kimberlite field is known for its large kimberlite bodies and a recent 200 hectare "super-kimberlite" discovery. Kimberlite is an igneous rock best known for often containing diamonds.
Paragon Diamonds shares were down 0.5% to 5.05 pence Monday.
