(Alliance News) - Pantheon Resources PLC on Thursday said it will start the hydraulic fracture stimulation around the week commencing September 29 for around two weeks at the Dubhe-1 well.
The oil and gas company focused on developing the Ahpun and Kodiak onshore oil fields in Alaska said equipment is currently being mobilised to the Dubhe pad from locations in Alaska and Canada.
It said production testing at the well is expected to take place thereafter, using a temporary production system.
Pantheon Resources previously announced that the Dubhe-1 horizontal lateral was successfully drilled and logged to a total measured depth of 15,800 feet, of which 5,200 feet was entirely within the SMD-B target reservoir.
"The team has done an excellent job drilling, and most recently, setting casing in this key well appraising our primary Ahpun reservoir (the SMD-B)," said Chief Development Officer Erich Krumanocker.
"We are very excited to be moving ahead with the completion and subsequent flow testing in the coming weeks."
Shares in Pantheon Resources were up 2.7% at 25.72 pence in London on Thursday afternoon.
