(Alliance News) - Pantheon Resources PLC on Wednesday said it is now preparing the Dubhe-1 well in Alaska, US for clean-up and production testing.
The oil and gas company focused on developing the Ahpun and Kodiak onshore oil fields in Alaska said it has successfully completed the hydraulic fracture stimulation on the Dubhe-1 well.
Pantheon Resources previously said Dubhe-1 was successfully drilled to a total measured depth of 15,800 feet.
On Wednesday, the company said 25 hydraulic fracture stimulation stages were successfully completed in eight days from the end of September, with no spills or safety incidents.
Over the coming weeks, the plugs set in the wellbore to separate the fracture stimulation stages will be drilled out with coiled tubing and production tubing will be installed.
The well will then be connected to a temporary well testing system for the start of flow testing operations.
"We are extremely pleased with the success of the operations so far. The team did an excellent job executing this large and intricate operation safely and efficiently," said Chief Development Officer Erich Krumanocker.
"The stimulation was performed as planned, increasing our confidence in achieving the objectives of the forthcoming flow testing programme."
Shares in Pantheon Resources were up 1.6% at 25.18 pence in London on Wednesday morning.
