(Alliance News) - Oxford Technology VCT PLC on Friday said its third-quarter net asset value per share inched higher, helped by share price increases for investee Scancell Holdings PLC.
Oxford Technology said its NAV per share at November 30 was 38.6 pence, up 6.6% quarter-on-quarter from 36.2p.
"This increase is mainly attributable to the rise in share price of Scancell (8.0p to 11.5p)," Oxford Technology said.
"As previously advised, 236,620 shares in Scancell were disposed of following the sharp share price rise on AIM surrounding news about the novel DNA vaccine against Covid-19 being worked on by Scancell. Apart from this, the portfolio was unchanged during the quarter."
Oxford Technology 2 VCT PLC, Oxford Technology 3 VCT PLC and Oxford Technology 4 VCT PLC also reported third-quarter NAV per share figures.
At Oxford Technology 2's NAV per share rose 0.8% quarter-on-quarter to 24.5p, also attributed to Scancell.
Oxford Technology 3's NAV per share fell 42% to 38.4p, "mainly attributable to the fall in the valuation of Ixaris Holdings which continues to suffer from the global decline in travel and hotel business due to the current pandemic".
Oxford Technology 4's November 30 NAV per share was unchanged quarter-on-quarter at 28.8p.
