Oxford Metrics Unit Yotta Pens "Significant" UK Local Government Pact

14th Jan 2020 14:04

(Alliance News) - Software firm Oxford Metrics PLC on Tuesday said its Yotta infrastructure asset management services subsidiary landed a multi-year contract with South Gloucestershire Council.

As part of the "significant multi-year" deal, the local government council will use Yotta's Alloy service to assist in implementing a wide range of environmental services, such as "managing highways, street lighting, open spaces, street cleansing, drainage and waste collection".

Oxford Metrics said: "The decision to opt for Alloy, via a competitive tender process, is in line with the council's current focus on digital transformation and digitising services in order to be more citizen and customer-centric, bringing benefits to residents, staff and the council itself.

"Alloy will also enable the council to more efficiently collate and share data across the organisation and better understand its residents and their needs."

Shares in the company were 3.7% higher at 112.00 pence each in London on Tuesday afternoon.
