Oxford Instruments Wins Tender To Supply Advanced Cryogenic Systems

LONDON (Alliance News) - Oxford Instruments PLC on Friday said it won a tender to supply its cryogenic equipment to the Institute of Physics-Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Under the contract, multiple advanced cryogenic systems will be installed at the Huairou Science City development in Beijing, the company explained.

"The supply agreement encompasses state-of-the-art superconducting magnet systems together with advanced dilution refrigerator systems, which will help to establish a world-leading synergetic user facility that integrates various extreme conditions," Oxford Instruments said.

It added: "This will allow researchers to make ground breaking discoveries of new material states, states of matter and novel phenomena, furthering our understanding of the structure, properties and performance of these materials on a quantum scale."

The cryogenic systems will through 2020 and 2021.

Oxford Instruments shares were untraded at 1,020.00 pence early Friday morning.
