Oxford Instruments Sells US Healthcare Operations For USD15 Million

24th Feb 2020 09:32

(Alliance News) - Industrial tools and systems manufacturer Oxford Instruments PLC on Monday said it has completed the sale of its OI Healthcare business in the US for USD15.0 million.

The Abingdon, England-headquartered company said the unit was sold to MXR Imaging Inc, a diagnostic imaging equipment provider.

The OI Healthcare business in the US offers the sale, service and rental of third-party magnetic resonance imaging and computer tomography machines, Oxford Instruments said.

"The sale of the Oxford Instruments' US-based OI Healthcare business further supports our ongoing strategy to focus on chosen markets with long-term growth drivers where we can uphold or develop leading positions," said Oxford Instruments Chief Executive Ian Barkshire.

"This sale will allow us to continue enhancing our ability to deliver further growth and margin improvement while maintaining a customer-centric approach," added Barkshire.

Oxford Instruments shares were trading 3.6% lower in London on Monday at 1,552.00 pence each.
