(Alliance News) - Renishaw PLC on Thursday said more than 22% of its shareholders voted against the reappointment of Deputy Chair John Deer and Executive Chair & Co-Founder David McMurtry.
The Gloucestershire-based engineering company said it has considered the views of shareholders and proxy advisory firms as to voting and voting recommendations, respectively, in order to better understand the reasons for these votes against.
Looking ahead, Renishaw said it intends to continue to engage with shareholders to understand their views on this and any other significant matter at annual general meeting.
Renishaw shares closed 3.3% higher in London on Thursday at 3,478.00 pence each.
