Outsourcery Partners With Dell On Development Of New Cloud Service For UK Government

6th Nov 2013 12:58

LONDON (Alliance News) - Outsourcery PLC said Wednesday that it had partnered with Dell Incorporated to work on the designed and development of a secure cloud service for the UK government and UK public sector.

Outsourcery is a cloud service provider co founded by Piers Linney, currently a member of the panel on 'Dragons Den'.

In September Outsourcery said that it was launching a new secure cloud platform with the support of Microsoft Corporation. Through these partnerships with Microsoft and Dell, it will design an Impact Level 3 compliant cloud service, meaning a service that will be secure for certain restricted data.

"Dell has worked closely with Microsoft to ensure that the hardware and networking technology underlying the platform which will be based on next generation Microsoft software is highly efficient and scalable," said Co-Chief Executive Officer Linney in a statement.

The platform, separate from the company's existing 'O-Cloud' platform, is due to be launched in 2014.

Shares in Outsourcery were trading up 2.6% at 120.50 pence Wednesday morning.
