LONDON (Alliance News) - Cloud service provider Outsourcery PLC Wednesday said a second of its major channel partners had won a first trial order for some of its cloud-based services, adding to the first channel partner win last month.
The company, which helps customers move their IT systems to the cloud, said the trial is for a cloud-based unified communications product. It was placed through the unnamed strategic channel partner by a large UK based enterprise, and, if successful, will be rolled out to several thousand employees, it added.
Last month, Outsourcery said it had received an order that represented the first clear indication of progress towards generating material recurring revenue. It secured an initial order for the staged roll-out of a cloud-based unified communications product through another of its UK-based strategic partners.
"Today's news effectively switches on the second of our major channel partners, transforming it from a compelling route to market into a real route to revenue," the company's co-Chief Executive Piers Linney said in the statement Wednesday.
"These initial engagements reinforce our confidence in our offering, in our position and in our potential to turn this early engagement and activity, into a strong and sustainable recurring revenue stream over the long term," he added.
Outsourcery shares were down 2.5% at 79 pence Wednesday.
