Outgoing Panmure Gordon Chairman Says 2016 Has Started Well

18th May 2016 07:33

LONDON (Alliance News) - Stockbroker and investment bank Panmure Gordon & Co PLC on Wednesday said 2016 has started well, and the group has worked on a number of deals since the turn of the year.

Panmure Chairman Ed Warner, who will be replaced by Andrew Adcock on Thursday, said 2016 had started well for the company following a challenging year in financial markets in 2015.

Since January, Warner said the firm has completed 20 transactions, including three initial public offerings, and has worked on a number of merger and acquisition deals, including regional newspaper publisher Johnston Press PLC's acquisition of the 'i' newspaper.

"Our focus on delivering the highest quality of service and advice to our client base, together with an energetic and determined approach to originating new business, will continue to generate opportunities for growth," Warner said.

Panmure shares were untraded early Wednesday, having last traded at 58.00 pence.
