LONDON (Alliance News) - Ortac Resources Ltd on Thursday said Zamsort Ltd has completed a surface trench sampling programme at the Kalaba mining licence in Zambia.
Ortac owns convertible loan notes issued by Zamsort.
The results from the trench sampling showed copper grades of up to 2.1% and 0.3% Cobalt across the three trenches.
"These trench assay results from the Kalaba open-pit copper cobalt project are indicative of the grade of material that Zamsort is looking to process through their plant, the site for which has now been cleared of vegetation in preparation for construction of the leach plant," said Ortac Chief Executive Vassilios Carellas.
Shares in Ortac were up 8.0% to 0.054 pence on Thursday.
