Ortac Resources Notes The Start Of Drilling At Yacob Dewar

12th Mar 2014 10:32

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ortac Resources Ltd Wednesday said that Andiamo Exploration Ltd has started core drilling at its Yacob Dewar gold and copper exploration project in Eritrea.

The natural resource development company said that the current drilling programme is designed to target shallow copper oxide mineralisation at Jacob Dewar, with the intention of defining a mineral resource.

The company added that further holes will target high-grade gold mineralisation on site to assist the company in re-interpretation of the Yacob Dewar gold structure.

Ortac entered into a strategic alliance with Andiamo in January, and Andiamo signed a contract with Colonnade Mining Group Ltd for the 1,400 metre drilling programme in Eritrea, earlier this month.

Ortac shares were up 0.6% to 0.242 pence Wednesday.
