Ormonde Mining Granted Environmental Permit For Spanish Tungsten Mine

3rd Feb 2014 09:56

LONDON (Alliance News) - Ormonde Mining PLC Monday said received formal written notification granting the Environmental Impact Declaration at its Barruecopardo tungsten project in Spain.

The tungsten mining exploration and development company said the Regional Environmental Department in Castilla y Leon approved the environmental aspects of the mine plan set out by Ormonde's subsidiary Saloro SLU, as long as the company complies with the conditions presented in its Environmental Study and Restoration Plan.

The company said the EID is in effect the environmental permit for the site without which the mining concession cannot be granted by the Director General for Energy and Mines.

The granting of the EID is the final step from the regional environmental authorities in the approval process.

Ormonde Mining shares were up 20% to 6.60 pence, putting it in the top AIM movers in early trading Monday.
