Origo Partners Net Asset Value Rises

26th Feb 2014 14:38

LONDON (Alliance News) - Origo Partners PLC Wednesday said its net asset value rose in the final three months of 2013.

In a statement, the China-focused private equity firm said its net asset value rose to USD146.0 million from USD127.1 million in the three months to December 31.

Its net asset value per share rose to USD0.42 from USD0.36.

Its cash position increased to USD35.4 million the previosuly announced deal that saw it take control of China Cleantech Partners LP.

At the end of December, 51% of Origo's portfolio was exposed to metals and mining.

Origo reiterated that if Brooks Macdonald makes a legal claim relating to a previously announced disagreement over convertible zero dividend preference shares issued by Origo in March 2011 it would be unlikely to succeed.

Origo shares were Wednesday quoted up 5.5% at 7.25 pence.
