LONDON (Alliance News) - Oracle Coalfields PLC on Friday named Anthony Scutt, an existing director, as its interim chairman.
The UK energy company, the developer of a combined lignite mineral resource and mine mouth power plant in the Thar desert in the south-east of Sindh Province, Pakistan, said Scutt replaces William Loader on an interim basis.
Loader's term as a director was not extended at the company's annual meeting of shareholders on Wednesday this week.
"I thank Adrian for his invaluable contribution to the development of the company since he joined our board in 2011. I wish him all the best for the future," Chief Executive Officer Shahrukh Khan said in a statement.
Shares in Oracle were down 3.1% at 2.33 pence on Friday afternoon.
