LONDON (Alliance News) - India-focused power company OPG Power Ventures PLC said its multi-transmission line for its Gujarat plant has been completed and said generation from its second plant in the region will start in January.
OPG said it is trading in line with its expectations and said the construction of the multi-circuit transmission line at the Gujarat plant has been completed. Further testing by state authorities is expected to be completed in coming weeks.
As a result, it expects commissioning of the second unit at Gujarat to start in January 2016.
Elsewhere, the company said it has signed contracts covering 337 megawatts of the 414 megawatts generated by its Chennai plants with a number of unnamed counterparties.
OPG holds its annual general meeting on Wednesday on the Isle of Man.
Shares in OPG were up 0.5% to 94.95 pence on Monday.
