OPG Power Ventures Says Operations Return To Normal After Floods

26th Feb 2016 10:01

LONDON (Alliance News) - Indian power company OPG Power Ventures PLC on Friday said its operating levels have returned to normal after the Chennai floods and said its energy output in the third quarter rose 60% year-on-year.

OPG said its power off-take and operating levels have returned to normal following the flooding which hit its Chennai plant in southern India in late 2015.

The group has also commissioned a second 150 megawatt unit for its plant in Gujarat, taking total operating capacity up to 750 megawatts, and said its energy output for the nine months to the end of November rose 60% year-on-year.

OPG shares were flat at 75.50 pence on Friday.
