LONDON (Alliance News) - India-focused power generation projects operator OPG Power Ventures PLC on Friday said its chairman will step down after its annual general meeting.
MC Gupta will step down from the board after the company's annual general meeting, due to take place in October, after eight years as chairman.
Arvind Gupta, currently OPG's chief executive, will move to the role of executive chairman when MC Gupta steps down.
At the same time, the company will make Jeremy Beeton an independent non-executive director. Beeton spent five years as the director-general of the UK Government Olympic Executive, the body which supervised the delivery of the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Beeton currently sites on the boards of energy company SSE PLC, infrastructure investor John Laing Group PLC and project management consultant WYG PLC.
OPG shares were down 3.2% at 67.25p on Friday.
