OneSavings Bank Deputy Chair Weymouth Replaces Outgoing Williamson

4th Feb 2020 17:05

(Alliance News) - OneSavings Bank PLC on Tuesday said Non-Executive Chair Malcolm Williamson has stepped down from the board of the lender with immediate effect.

Malcolm became chair of OneSavings Bank in October last year, following the successful combination of the company with Charter Court Financial Services Group PLC. Malcolm joined Charter Court Financial Services in June 2017 and became chair in August that year.

OneSavings Bank said Deputy Chair David Weymouth will assume the role of chair of the board and Nomination & Governance Committee. Weymouth was chair of OneSavings Bank prior to its merger with Charter Court Financial Services.

"On behalf of the OneSavings Bank board and executive team I would like to thank Malcolm for his stewardship and guidance of Charter Court Financial Services and the subsequent combination with OneSavings Bank," said Chief Executive Andy Golding.

He added: "The continuity provided by the appointment of David is valuable as we execute on the strategy for the OneSavings Bank, as enlarged by the combination with Charter Court Financial Services."

Additionally, the FTSE 250-listed bank said that after four years as a non-executive director,

Eric Anstee has resigned from the OneSavings Bank and will step down from the board with immediate effect.

"I would like to thank Eric for the valuable contribution he has made to the success of OneSavings Bank. Eric will be missed and I wish him well in the future," said Golding.

OneSavings Bank shares closed 1.8% higher in London on Tuesday at 435.30 pence each.
