LONDON (Alliance News) - One Media IP Group PLC on Thursday said it has struck a GBP35,000 deal to acquire the Alan Peters Music Masters Catalogue along with the revenue and licences controlled by Classic Hits 2000 Ltd and Golden Archive Ltd.
The catalogue includes classical music performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, traditional Christmas music from St. Paul's Cathedral, military marching music performed by H.M. Coldstream Guards and musical renditions of the Scottish Pipes & Drums, One Media IP said. The company monetises intellectual property rights around music and video.
"We have had the Alan Peters music catalogue under license since 2007. They sit well alongside our recently acquired Point Classics catalogue. One Media's policy of acquiring music from its licensors, thus increasing profitability in onward royalty commitments has proved to be a benefit to the company," said Michael Infante, the chief executive and chairman of One Media IP.
Shares in One Media IP were untraded on Thursday, having last traded at 7.50 pence.
