LONDON (Alliance News) - Imaging software provider OMG PLC Monday said its Vicon division has secured a contract with DJI Innovations, the unmanned aerial systems provider to commercial and recreational markets.
DJI has selected Vicon's T40S system to capture the movement of its 'flying cameras', remote controlled drones with a stabilised video camera attached, and to provide high precision data which will drive research and development efforts with the technology.
"DJI is a great new client for Vicon and this win is a further testament to the strength and adaptability of our technology," said OMG CEO Nick Bolton. "Being able to capture the [unmanned aerial systems] in action both inside and outdoors and with unparalleled precision is what DJI needed to meet its high stability and safety standards."
OMG shares were up 0.9% to 28.00 pence on Monday.
