Omega Diagnostics Expects Full-Year Revenues Of GBP5.6 Million

17th Oct 2013 09:11

LONDON (Alliance News) - Omega Diagnostics Group PLC, a diagnostic company that focuses on food intolerance and infection disease, Thursday said that it expects revenues to be roughly flat at GBP5.6 million in the half-year ended September 30, ahead of the announcement of its interim results on November 27.

The company expects a pretax profit at least 10% ahead of the previous year, where it had a pretax profit of GBP380,000.

The company said that it had achieved growth in its Food Intolerance and Allergy/Autoimmune divisions, although it had seen a drop off in its Infection Disease division due to a problem with a UK-based customer being unable to meet minimum contracted obligations. However, Omega said this situation has since been resolved.

Meeting expectations for the second-half would require further growth of its core business, Omega said, and a successful outcome to its antiretroviral drug therapy CD4 technology transfer to make a contribution before the end of the year.

Shares in Omega were trading up 7.4% at 15.16 pence Thursday morning.
