LONDON (Alliance News) - Oil and gas company Savannah Petroleum PLC said Tuesday that it has spudded Amdigh-1 well located in the R3/R4 PSC area in the Agadem Basin, south east Niger.
The spudding of Amdigh-1 well follows the spudding of Bushiya-1 on April 23. Both Amdigh-1 and Bushiya-1 are part of Savannah Petroleum's three well Niger drilling campaign.
Drilling of Amdigh-1 is predicted to take 30 to 35 days and the well is to be drilled to a total of 2,576 metres.
Savannah Petroleum shares closed at 30.50 pence each, down 2.2%.
