LONDON (Alliance News) - The UK Office of Gas & Electricity Markets said Thursday it has granted a licence to Diamond Transmission Partners BBE Ltd, a consortium comprising of HICL Infrastructure Co Ltd and Mitsubishi Corp, to own and operate the GBP193.9 million offshore transmission link to the 258 megawatt Burbo Bank Extension windfarm.
The windfarm is in Liverpool Bay on the west coast of the UK in the Irish Sea.
Diamond Transmission has purchased the link and transmission assets from a consortium comprising Orsted A/S KIRKBI A/S, and PKA, which owns the Burbo Bank Extension windfarm.
Shares in HICL were 1.0% lower at 144.60 pence at the close Thursday.
