LONDON (Alliance News) - Octagonal PLC saw its shares jump Thursday morning after it said David Lenigas, Executive Director of Leni Gas and Oil PLC, Rare Earth Minerals PLC, and other AIM-listed companies, has been appointed to the board as a non-executive Director.
The investment company's principal investment is a 9.97% in global custody and clearing company, Global Investment Strategy UK Ltd.
Octagonal also said that Daniel Maling has stepped down from the board as an Executive Director
with immediate effect to pursue other interests.
"I see tremendous growth opportunities for GIS, Octagonal's main investment, as they continue to add new global clients in need of their bespoke international trading platforms and clearing and custody systems, and feel that I can add value to the current board of directors as it seeks to potentially increase its exposure to GIS and look for other investment opportunities," said Lenigas.
Shares in Octagonal were trading 14% higher Thursday morning at up 0.342 pence per share, one of the top five gainers on AIM.
