LONDON (Alliance News) - Octagonal PLC, the investing company with a 9.97% stake in custody and clearing company Global Investment Strategy UK Ltd, Wednesday said that it has appointed Jason Berry, a former director of Circle Opportunities PLC, as an executive director.
"The company would like to welcome Mr Berry to the board of Octagonal and sees his appointment as adding significant value to the company's investment in GIS and as it seeks to look for new investments and opportunities in line with its stated investment strategy," Chairman Donald Strang said in a statement.
Strang was not immediately available for comment.
Octagonal shares were Wednesday quoted down by 0.040 pence, or 7.1%, at 0.520 pence. The fall comes after Octagonal Tuesday said that it received notices of the exercise of warrants to subscribe for just shy of 31.5 million new shares at a 0.30 pence exercise price. The company will therefore have about 748.4 million shares in issue.
