(Alliance News) - Bermuda-based Ocean Wilsons Holdings Ltd on Thursday said its freight container volumes were down slightly in the second quarter.
In Salvador, volumes were down 7.7% to 72,200 twenty-foot equivalent units in the second quarter of 2020. The company reported that volumes were up 2.2% in Rio Grande to 167,900 twenty-foot equivalent units in the second quarter from 164,300 a year ago.
Ocean Wilsons is an investment company which operates as a maritime services company in Brazil through its subsidiary Wilson Sons Limited.
Total volumes were down 1% to 240,100 from 242,600.
Ocean Wilsons' 23 offshore support vessels operated for almost the same number days in the quarter versus a year ago. Vessel turnarounds at offshore support bases however were down 45% to 145 turnarounds during the second quarter from from 265 turnarounds a year prior.
Ocean Wilsons shares were down 0.8% at 640.00 pence on Thursday afternoon in London.
