Ocean Wilsons Container Terminal Volume Drops 6.6% On Year In February

LONDON (Alliance News) - Maritime services company Ocean Wilsons Holdings Ltd Wednesday said its operating unit's container terminals handled 6.6% less volume in February than it did in the same month in 2014, while towage volumes and offshore vessel numbers also fell.

The company's principal operating subsidiary is Wilson Sons Ltd.

In a statement, the company said volume handled at the Tecon Rio Grande container terminal fell by 6.7% on the year in January, while volume at Tecon Salvador fell by 6.3%.

Average deadweights fell 0.3% in its towage business in February, while number of harbour manoeuvres rose 10.5%. It had 19 offshore vessels in operation at the end of January, down from 21 a year earlier, including 19 of its own vessels, up from 18.

Ocean Wilson shares were up 0.7% at 926.00 pence Wednesday morning.
