LONDON (Alliance News) - Ocado Group PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Andrew Harrison, the current deputy chief executive of London-listed Dixons Carphone PLC, as a new non-executive director of the company.
The online supermarket said Harrison will join the company as an independent non-executive director at the start of March.
"I am excited to join Ocado's board at a time when it leads the shift of the grocery retail market towards online. I look forward to becoming part of the team," said Harrison.
Harrison was appointed as deputy chief executive of Dixons Carphone back in August 2014 after working for Carphone Warehouse since 1995, prior to the company's merger with Dixons Retail.
In addition, Ocado said Senior Independent and Non-Executive Director David Grigson will retire from the board at the company's annual general meeting on May 4.
