LONDON (Alliance News) - Nyota Minerals Ltd on Tuesday said it has identified new exploration targets at the Ivrea nickel project in the Piemonte region of Italy following an airborne geophysical survey carried out over the prospect.
Nyota said significant conductors were identified at three of the target areas surveyed at the site and said it has made applications to modify the existing licence areas based on the new results.
The company said the three main anomalies are located in areas where the award of relevant licence extensions are currently pending.
"The airborne geophysical survey, which was fundamental to our initial work at the Ivrea Project, successfully identified conductors in three of the target areas and has more than justified our interest in the project," said Richard Chase, Nyota's chief executive.
Shares in Nyota were up 11% to 0.05 pence on Tuesday.
