LONDON (Alliance News) - Warehousing and logistics business Norish PLC said Thursday that its profit for the first half of the year increased despite a dip in revenue.
For the six months to June 30, the company posted a pretax profit of GBP863,000 from GBP714,000 a year ago. This was achieved on the back of lower finance and administrative expenses, down to GBP87,000 and GBP383,000 respectively.
Meanwhile, revenue reduced to GBP18.5 million from GBP20.5 million.
The company, in line with the prior year, did not propose an interim dividend.
Looking ahead, Norish, which operates through a Cold Store, Sourcing and Dairy division said it expects progress in its core Cold division to "make further progress".
Norish shares were trading down 2.9% at 68.0 pence each.
