LONDON (Alliance News) - Austria-focused gold explorer Noricum Gold Ltd on Tuesday said it has completed drilling at three further holes at two targets in its Schonberg project and said its drilling programme at the site is progressing well.
The group said it has completed three further drill holes at the Weissenbachgraben and Brunngraben targets, with all reaching target depth.
It said drilling times and conditions at the site have improved and the majority of the core has now been logged, cut and sent for testing. Further drilling will then be undertaken on the results from the holes.
The results from the first hole drilled found no massive sulphide mineralisation, as expected, due to a previously announced deviation, Noricum said.
"Drilling has been progressing well at Schonberg and we look forward to receiving results from the three further holes completed in the coming weeks," said Greg Kuenzel, Managing Director of Noricum.
Shares in Noricum were trading flat at 0.23 pence on Tuesday.
