NMC Health Opens "Super Specialty" Hospital In Abu Dhabi

24th Aug 2015 15:09

LONDON (Alliance News) - NMC Health PLC Monday said it has opened in the Khalifa area of Abu Dhabi City its largest specialty hospital in the United Arab Emirates.

The private healthcare provider said that the NMC Royal Hospital has 250 beds and will open for initial outpatient services on September 1, while inpatient services are expected to commence before the end of 2015.

NMC said that the hospital will act as the central hospital within its hub-and-spoke healthcare platform and will be its seventh and largest specialty hospital facility in the UAE, taking NMC's total licence bed capacity to 855 beds, specialising in 25 medical fields.

"This new super specialty facility, in tandem with our recent acquisitions, consolidates NMC's market positioning as a dynamic and growing healthcare brand offering optimal healthcare solutions to our patients through both our domestic and international assets," Chief Executive Bavaguthu Raghuram Shetty said in a statement.

Shares in NMC were trading down 6.9% at 706.50 pence late Monday afternoon.
