(Alliance News) - Nightcap PLC on Monday said it has opened one of the "world's largest" tequila-focused bars, which will be the first new site for its Barrio brand.
The owner of Cocktail Club, Adventure Bar and Barrio Familia chains bought the Barrio Familia bar group for GBP4.9 million in November last year.
The latest lease signing at Gillian Lynne Theatre, London has a capacity of 600 across two floors, measuring around 10,500 square feet in total.
Nightcap said that this is the first Barrio to open since 2015 and will be its flagship bar, being the largest to date. It will also be the largest Nightcap venue in London, it added.
Nightcap now has 35 sites on its portfolio and a further 21 premises under offer or in legal negotiations for all of its brands. In total, Barrio now has five bars open.
"It is a site that is very well known to our current senior management team at Barrio and we are very excited about the growth opportunity for the brand, so it's very fitting that the first new site will be at such an iconic central London venue."
Shares in Nightcap were down 2.7% to 14.60 pence each in London on Monday mid-morning.
